Dahi Sandwich


Dahi sandwich is a popular Indian snack that features a creamy and tangy yogurt filling sandwiched between slices of bread. Here’s a simple recipe to make Dahi Sandwich:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Hung curd
  • 1 small cucumber, finely chopped.
  • 1 small tomato, finely chopped.
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, finely chopped.
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper powder to taste
  • 8 slices of bread
  • Butter or ghee for toasting (optional)
  • Chaat masala for sprinkling (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, add the thick hung curd, cucumber, tomato, onion, capsicum, green chili (if using), and chopped coriander leaves.
  2. Season the yogurt mixture with salt and black pepper powder according to your taste preferences.
  3. Mix all the ingredients well until everything is evenly combined.
  4. Take a slice of bread and spread a generous amount of the yogurt mixture on it.
  5. Place another slice of bread on top to make a sandwich.
  6. Repeat the process with the remaining bread slices and yogurt mixture to make more sandwiches.
  7. If desired, you can lightly toast the sandwiches with butter or ghee on a skillet until they are golden brown and crisp.
  8. Once toasted, remove the sandwiches from the skillet and cut them diagonally into halves or quarters.
  9. Sprinkle some chaat masala on top for extra flavor, if desired.
  10. Serve the Dahi Sandwiches immediately as a delicious snack or light meal.
